About Player Scholarship Fund
Community engagement, accessibility and inclusion are principal values of the South East Melbourne Magic Basketball Club.
The Ray White Player Scholarship Fund was created to ensure all members of the community have access to the player development opportunities and principles of the South East Melbourne Basketball Club Inc.
100% of the fund goes directly towards ensuring children that are disadvantaged, vulnerable, or from low socioeconomic backgrounds have the same opportunities to participate in local club based basketball competition.
The fund is made possible via contributions from our Community Partners, chartiable donations through the Australian Sports Foundation, and club fundraising activities.

Player Scholarship Fund Naming Rights Partner
SEM Magic is pleased to introduce Chris Williams and Asset & Capital Finance as the naming rights partner of the SEM Magic Player Scholarship Fund. As a parent of two SEM Magic players, Chris is deeply connected to our community and will serve as Chair of the Player Scholarship Fund for the next two years.
Chris Williams brings over 15 years of experience in the finance industry, with expertise in accounting, financial planning, and financial management. A Commerce graduate with majors in Accounting, Financial Planning, and Finance, Chris previously managed a client portfolio exceeding $50 million as a Financial Planner.
Since 2020, Chris has successfully operated Asset & Capital Finance, a business specializing in asset financing solutions. From family vehicles to business assets, Asset & Capital Finance simplifies the process, negotiates with lenders for the best loan options, and guides clients every step of the way.
Chris and Asset & Capital Finance are proud to support the SEM Magic Player Scholarship Fund, helping young athletes thrive on and off the court.

Summer 2024/25 Applications
Applications are now open for the Summer 2024/25 season.
Through our first 4 seasons months, we have provided over 50 Scholarhips. SEM Magic is proud to offer continued support to the local community through this initiative.

Team Sports 4 All
Team Sports 4 All (TS4A) assist families who are experiencing financial hardship; due to their situation they cannot afford to pay for the costs involved in community team sport.
They meet the families, connect them with a club and team, provide financial aid, and most importantly give ongoing support via their volunteers to encourage long term participation.
As a partner, TS4A and SEM Magic work together to help ensure inclusion and accessibility options are available through our Scholarship Fund.
