SEM D-League Open Runs
The South East Melbourne (SEM) Development League Open Runs program is the perfect complement for domestic-level players and participants in the SEM D-League Academy who are serious about elevating their game to the next level.
As the name suggests, Open Runs are informal, game-focused sessions where players can practice and compete in a relaxed yet structured environment.
This program is specifically designed for ambitious young players aspiring to excel in Victoria's premier junior basketball competition, the Victorian Junior Basketball League (VJBL).
Program Overview
Each 75-minute session consists of a short full-court warm-up session, followed a practice games. Players can expect the following:
🏀 Dedicated Coaches: Experienced coaches from SEM Magic will guide players throughout each session.
🏀 Full-Court Warm-Up: Players will prepare for the game with a variety of full-court drills designed to get the heart pumping, sharpen skills, and focus the mind.
🏀 Practice Match: A 40-minute basketball game featuring 4 x 10-minute quarters, complete with referees.
Player Eligibility
The SEM D-League Open Runs program is open to all players who meet the following criteria:
🏀 A minimum of two seasons of domestic league experience.
🏀 A strong understanding of the game.
🏀 A readiness to elevate their work ethic and commitment.
While this program complements the SEM Magic club membership, players from other teams / clubs the club are also welcome to participate.
