Founded in 2022, South East Melbourne (SEM) Magic is a progressive and innovative not-for-profit community basketball club offering far more than traditional domestic basketball.
Our club is built around a unique development model featuring Squad-Based Training, a clearly defined Player Development Pathway, and a transparent Team Selection Process—ensuring players are challenged, supported and developed throughout every stage of their journey.
Whether you're taking your first steps through our beginner programs, competing in domestic basketball, or striving for representative and high-performance opportunities, SEM Magic provides the coaching, structure and pathways to help every player reach their potential.

Junior Domestic Basketball Club
SEM Magic provides opportunities for junior boys and girls from Under 8 to Under 21 age groups, with teams competing in local competitions at several associations.

SEM Magic welcome players aged 15 and older to join our senior domestic teams. Whether you're an experienced player or just looking for a fun, social game, our senior domestic program offers a friendly and inclusive club experience for everyone.
