Who are SEM Magic?

Founded in 2022, South East Melbourne (SEM) Magic is a progressive and innovative not-for-profit community basketball club. We offer a unique Squad-Based Training system where players across age groups from U8 to U21 train collectively under experienced Squad Coaches. Over 50 teams competing in various leagues with opportunities for players to play in competitions.

✨ Coaching & Development
Our coaching philosophy emphasizes man-to-man defense and motion offense. All teams follow SEM Magic's 'Style of Play' to ensure consistency in development. Squad Coaches lead each age group, supported by experienced team coaches.

Our five-tiered Squad Training system—from Rookie to Senior—caters to different skill levels and age groups, fostering individual and team development.

✨ Fees & Policies
Our all-inclusive fees cover registration, match fees, and coaching. Financial assistance is available through payment plans and scholarships. We operate under a dedicated Committee of Management and clear policies.
